The Senior Accounts Officer will be actively involved in the Accounts Department by managing daily accounting task such as preparing and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions, Calculate taxes owed, prepare tax returns and monthly remittances, compile data on monthly revenues, commissions, and expenses, process monthly invoices and follows up with clients on due invoices, reconcile payments with employees, clients and vendors and performing other duties as assigned, which are in the best interests of the company.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

·  BSc in accounting or related discipline.

· 3 years and above relevant professional experience.

· ICAN / ACA certified.

· Established working knowledge of various Accounting software packages including SAGE, QuickBooks. 

· In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards 

· Awareness of business trends and ability to forecast using past accounting reports and trends.

· Knowledge of practical financial modelling and analysis.

· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/ year-end close process. 

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft packages Microsoft Excel functions including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

· Experience in tax and audit in the movie production sector is an added advantage.

· Experience as an accountant in a film industry is an added advantage
