Job Description: As a Senior Investment Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving the firm’s investment success by sourcing, evaluating, and managing opportunities across the investment lifecycle."
You will work closely with the CIO to execute the firm’s investment strategy, focusing on identifying high-potential companies, conducting thorough due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies’ post-investment.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in public market equities, complemented by experience or an interest in other investment areas such as venture capital, private equity, or investment banking. The ideal candidate should possess a keen analytical mindset and a passion for identifying and evaluating opportunities to deliver optimal investment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Insights:
• Conduct in-depth research on listed equities, including fundamental, technical, and macroeconomic analysis.
• Monitor financial news, regulatory developments, and economic trends impacting equity markets.
• Analyse industry-specific trends to identify growth sectors and opportunities.
Equity Valuation:
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to inform valuation decisions and investment recommendations.
• Evaluate company performance through financial statement analysis, earnings reports, and guidance.
Investment Recommendations:
• Prepare research reports with actionable buy, hold, or sell recommendations.
• Present investment theses and recommendations to portfolio managers and decision-makers.
Identifying Investment Opportunities:
• Conduct comprehensive market scans to identify undervalued equities, emerging trends, and attractive sectors.
• Monitor corporate actions, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and IPOs, to uncover potential investment opportunities.
Engaging with Industry Networks:
• Build, maintain and leverage relationships with brokers, trading desk, other research analyst, and market participants to gain access to new opportunities.
• Attend industry conferences, webinars, and earnings calls to stay informed and identify potential targets.
• Actively participate in discussions on large trades, secondary offerings, and market placements.
Deal Sourcing and Origination
• Proactively source investment opportunities through extensive networking with entrepreneurs, industry experts, brokers, and investors.
• Leverage trading/market intelligence platforms to identify equities with significant upside potential."
• Monitor earnings announcements, regulatory filings, and corporate events for actionable trades.
Portfolio Management:
• Monitor and support portfolio companies by identifying opportunities for strategic alignment and operational efficiencies. Track portfolio performance and prepare periodic reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Investment Execution:
• Lead and assist with structuring, negotiation, and execution of investment deals, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless transaction processes.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, ICAN) are highly desirable.
• 6-9 years of progressive experience in public listed equities or related fields, with a proven track record in investment analysis and execution.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and investment analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively.
Tools and Technologies:
• Proficiency in financial tools such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, and Microsoft Excel for research, financial modelling, and valuation.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
